1. Kasol:

  • Known as the ‘Mini Israel of India’, Kasol is a charming village located along the Parvati River in the Kullu Valley. It is famous for its scenic beauty, laid-back atmosphere, and vibrant Israeli influence.
  • What to Do in Kasol:
    • Trekking: Enjoy easy treks like Kheerganga Trek and the Tosh Valley trek.
    • Parvati River: Sit by the river and relax, or try fishing.
    • Cafe Culture: Explore the many cafes, most of them offering Israeli and continental food.
    • Shopping: Visit the local markets for handmade crafts, jewelry, and woolens.
    • Raghunath Temple: A significant local temple dedicated to Lord Rama.

2. Kheerganga:

  • Kheerganga is a popular trekking destination and is known for its mesmerizing views of snow-capped mountains and dense pine forests. The trek to Kheerganga takes you through scenic landscapes, waterfalls, and hot water springs.
  • Trek to Kheerganga:
    • Duration: 4-5 hours (depending on pace).
    • Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging. The trek starts from Barshaini (reachable from Kasol) and involves a mix of ascents and descents.
    • Highlights: Hot water springs at Kheerganga, amazing views, spiritual vibe.
    • Camping: There are campsites at Kheerganga where trekkers can stay overnight under the starry skies.
    • Hot Water Springs: A natural, warm spring at the top is ideal for a relaxing soak after the trek.

3. Manali:

  • Manali, a well-known hill station, is famous for its beautiful landscapes, adventure activities, and pleasant climate. It is a major tourist hub in Himachal Pradesh.
  • Things to Do in Manali:
    • Solang Valley: Known for skiing in winter and paragliding, zorbing, and trekking in summer.
    • Rohtang Pass: A high-altitude pass offering snow experiences, accessible during the summer months.
    • Old Manali: For a peaceful retreat, explore the quieter side of Manali, which has quaint cafes, temples, and guesthouses.
    • Hadimba Temple: A unique temple surrounded by cedar forests, dedicated to Hidimba, a character from the Mahabharata.
    • Manu Temple: A temple dedicated to Sage Manu, located in Old Manali.
    • Beas River: Engage in river rafting or simply enjoy the serene surroundings by the river.

Exclusions:

·        Any food and beverage charges not included in the package.

·        Personal expenses or any costs not specifically mentioned in the inclusions.

·        Layover accommodation in Delhi (if your train arrives earlier than the scheduled pickup time). You may book accommodation directly in Delhi.

·        Internal transportation and sightseeing within Delhi.

·        Internal transfers from the station to the bus boarding point and back in Delhi.

·        Any adventure activities other than river rafting (e.g., paragliding, skiing) available at Solang Valley.

·        Convenience charges:

o   0.99% for UPI transactions.

o   2.3% for card payments (applied at the end of the booking process when selecting Razorpay).

Clothing:

Any disruptive behavior that compromises the safety or experience of others may result in immediate expulsion from the travel experience without a refund.

 

Smoking and Drinking:

Smoking and consumption of alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited during the travel experience.

Violation of this policy may lead to expulsion from the travel without a refund.

 

Guidelines by the Volunteer:

Participants are required to follow the guidelines provided by the travel leader and any accompanying volunteers.

Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in disciplinary action.

 

Changes and Cancellations:

Papillon reserves the right to change the itinerary or cancel the travel experience due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions or other factors that may jeopardize the safety of participants.

Participants will be notified of any changes or cancellations as soon as possible.

 

Health:

Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit for the travel experience.

Any pre-existing medical conditions must be disclosed to Papillon before the travel.

Papillon is not liable for any health issues or injuries sustained during the travel.

 

Booking:

All bookings must be made online through Papillon’s official website.

Payments will not be accepted on the spot.

Cancellation Policy

 

We understand the disappointment of cancelling a trek after months of preparation. That's why we have a traveller-friendly cancellation policy.

 

Pending Payment Policy:

- Complete your pending payment 5 days before departure.

- Failure to pay the second instalment may result in booking cancellation and loss of advance payment.

- Boarding will be denied for non-payment, and the seat will be reassigned.

 

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

For Backpacking Expeditions and Long Treks (More than 4 nights):

 

- 30+ days before the trek: Full refund in a Papillon coupon or monetary refund with a 15% cancellation charge.

- 20-30 days before the trek: 80% refund in a Papillon coupon or monetary refund with a 50% cancellation charge.

- Less than 20 days before the trek: No monetary refund; 50% in a Papillon coupon.

- Less than 15 days before departure: No refund.

- If unwell: No refund; find a replacement if needed.

 

For Sahyadri Treks/Campings and Weekend Backpacking Trips:

 

- 30+ days before the trek: Full refund in a Papillon coupon or monetary refund with a 15% cancellation charge.

- 20-30 days before the trek: 80% refund in a Papillon coupon or monetary refund with a 50% cancellation charge.

- Less than 20 days before the trek: No monetary refund; 20% in a Papillon coupon if fully paid.

- Ticket transfer: 20% surcharge, subject to organiser's decision.

- No-show or illness: No refund; find a replacement if needed.

- Advance Booking amount: Non-refundable.

 

Important Note: train cancellation, and agent charges are non-refundable if the trek is cancelled within 6 days before departure.

 

No refund 15 days before NY and Christmas events.

 

If We Cancel a Trek:

- Natural calamities or unrest: No refund if the trip has started.

- Before departure: Full refund except for train and bus cancellations.

- Sahyadri treks: Opt for event shift or full refund if cancelled due to low participation.

- Medical emergencies or COVID: Regular cancellation policy applies.

- Transport issues: Alternate arrangements made; participants bear costs.

Trip Delays and Connecting Transport

 

Failures:

Papillon will assist with alternate arrangements for delays, but participants bear the costs.

- Refund processed within 15-20 working days.

- No phone or WhatsApp cancellations; email only.

Any extra costs incurred due to extension/change of the itinerary because of natural calamities, train/bus delays or cancellation, road blocks, vehicle breakdown, etc., are factors beyond the control of "Papillon" and its associates.

    Day 1: Departure from Pune

    Breakfast + Dinner

     

    • Mode of Travel: Sampark Kranti Train
    • Board the train from Pune Railway Station at the scheduled time.
    • Note: Tickets will be confirmed or RAC (half window seat) based on availability.

    Day 2: Arrival in Delhi | Transfer to Kasol

    Breakfast + Dinner

     

    • Arrive in Delhi in the morning.
    • Optional: Explore Delhi or rest at a nearby hotel (self-arranged).
    • Meet your fellow travelers and trek captain at the designated pickup point in Delhi.
    • Pickup Points:
      • Majnu ka Tilla
      • RK Ashram
    • Depart for Kasol via AC Pushback Volvo at 5:00 PM.

    Day 3: Explore Kasol | Chalal Village Walk

    Breakfast + Dinner

     

    • Arrive in Kasol in the morning.
    • Post breakfast, enjoy the serene beauty of Parvati Valley.
    • Explore the vibrant Kasol market, try local cuisine, and relax at a hippie café.
    • In the evening, take a picturesque walk to Chalal Village.

    Day 4: Trek to Kheerganga/Rudranag | Overnight Camping

    Breakfast + Dinner

     

    • Start your trek from Barsheni village after breakfast (22 km from Kasol).
    • The trek is moderately challenging with stunning views of snow-capped mountains and Parvati Valley.
    • Reach Kheerganga or Rudranag by evening.
    • Enjoy dinner around a bonfire under a star-lit sky.
    • Overnight camping experience amidst nature.

    Note: If Kheerganga is closed, alternative treks (e.g., Rudranag) will be arranged.

    Day 5: Return to Kasol

    Breakfast

     

    • Descend from Rudranag to Barsheni.
    • Travel back to Kasol and relax at the hotel.
    • Take time to unwind after the trek and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

    Day 6: Kasol to Manali via Manikaran | River Rafting & Sightseeing

     

    • Depart for Manali after breakfast.
    • Visit the serene Manikaran Gurudwara.
    • Experience the thrill of river rafting en route.
    • Arrive in Manali, check in to the hotel, and visit:
      • Hidimba Temple
      • Vashisth Ashram
      • Mall Road and Old Manali café crawl in the evening.

    Day 7: Solang Valley | Departure to Delhi

     

    • After breakfast, visit the picturesque Solang Valley.
    • Optional activities: adventure sports, Atal Tunnel visit, or a trip to Sisu (time permitting).
    • Return to Manali in the afternoon and board your evening bus to Delhi.
