ITINERARY
Day 0: Departure from Home City
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi and Transfer to Dehradun
Day 2: Dehradun to Sankri by Bus/Taxi
Depart from Dehradun and enjoy a short stop at Kempty Falls for breakfast.
Continue towards Sankri, passing the holy Yamuna River, with a brief stop.
Reach Mori; proceed to Sankri after passing a check post (ID verification required).
Arrive in Sankri, check in to the hotel, relax on the terrace, and enjoy evening snacks.
Delicious meal at the hotel, followed by an optional evening walk.
Day 3: Trek from Sankri to Juda Ka Talab
- Wake up early, enjoy morning tea, and have breakfast by 7:30 am.
- Start the trek at 8:30 am, with views of Swargarohini Peaks and Saur Village en route.
- Trek through Himalayan forests with waterfalls and local flora, reaching the scenic Juda Ka Talab.
- Set up camp, relax, and enjoy evening tea/coffee, snacks, and soup.
Day 4: Trek from Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha Base Camp
- Trek Itinerary:
- Morning tea/coffee, breakfast at 7:30 am, and trek starts by 8:30 am.
Day 5: Trek from Kedarkantha Base Camp to Kedarkantha Summit and Descend to Hargaon Thach
Trek Itinerary:
- Early morning trek to Kedarkantha Summit to catch a sunrise view.
-After reaching the summit, enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas.
- Descend to Hargaon Thach, where you'll camp for the night.

Day 6: Trek from Hargaon Thach to Sankri and Return to Dehradun
Trek Distance: 5.5 km (4-5 hours) -
Trek Itinerary
- Enjoy breakfast at Hargaon, then start your descent to Sankri.
-Pass scenic viewpoints and apple orchards before reaching the Sankri base.
-Freshen up and board transportation to Dehradun, arriving by evening.
Day 7: Buffer Day
- An extra day reserved to account for any unforeseen delays or weather changes.
Day 8: Arrival in Delhi
- Early morning arrival in Delhi by overnight train from Dehradun.
Day 9: Return Journey to Home City
- For Pune/Bhopal:Take the Jhelum Express at 11:00 am from Delhi
-For Mumbai/Surat/Ahmedabad:** Take the Hw-Bandra Special at 6:55 pm from Delhi
- Arrive back in your respective city, carrying memories of the trek

- Rucksack – If you are unloading your Rucksack, you will need a small daypack to carry your essentials
- Good trekking shoes and a pair of slip-on, if required for the campsite
- 2 Water Bottles (1 liter each)
- Woolen or Fleece Gloves and a pair of waterproof gloves
- Cotton socks and woolen socks (2 pairs each)
- Balaclava, Woolen scarf – If you do not have a Balaclava, you can carry a Monkey cap instead Thermal
- Inners Fleece Jacket, Snow Jacket, or Padded Jacket (1 each) Windcheater or Poncho
- 2-3 pairs of trek pants 2 collared and full-sleeved t-shirts
- Do not carry loose t-shirts as they tend to make you feel cold
- Camera or Binoculars
- Ready-to-eat snacks, Enerzyl Powder or Glucon D Powder – Carry nuts, dry fruits, and energy bars to munch during the trek. They provide instant energy whenever it hits the lower base.
- Cap, Sunglasses – Do ensure that your sunglasses are UV Protected.
- Do not carry reflectors.
- Headlamp/LED Torch
– Mandatory Toiletries – Sunscreen, Moisturizer, light towel, lip balm, wet wipes, toothbrush, toothpaste, Hand Sanitizer, Mosquito repellent,
if required Polythene Bags or Zip-lock Bags – These help to segregate wet clothes,
- used wet wipes, or sanitary napkins on a trek Any medicines that you normally consume
- Please consult your doctor in this regard An empty tiffin box and spoon to have your meals since the usage of plastic vessels is not allowed on the trek
Rules and Regulations
1. Environmental Responsibility: - Throwing garbage on trails is strictly prohibited. Participants must carry their waste with them. - Playing loud music in the mountains is not allowed. - Writing or engaging in any activity that disrespects historical sites is strictly forbidden.
2. Tent Allocation - Tents will be assigned based on the male-to- female ratio by team captains, and no requests for changes will be entertained.
3. Transportation - Pick-up and drop-off will be at the same location. However, participants are free to get down at stops along the return route if desired.
4. Authority of Team Captains - The team captain’s decision is final in all situations to ensure the safety and mutual benefit of all participants. - If any trekker’s behavior is deemed likely to cause harm or distress to themselves, the staff, or other participants, Papillon reserves the right to terminate their trip. In such cases, the individual must arrange their own return, and Papillon will not be responsible for any expenses or claims that arise as a result.
5. Health and Safety - Papillon and its local staff are not liable for any injuries or illnesses incurred during the trek or related activities. Adequate support staff is provided for basic safety, but participants are responsible for any medical expenses that may arise in case of an emergency.
6. Weather and Unforeseen Events - Due to the unpredictable nature of weather on such trips, if arrangements must be altered, no refunds will be provided. - In cases of other unforeseen circumstances, such as riots, political unrest, natural disasters, nuclear incidents, or terrorist activity, resulting in the cancellation of a trip, no refunds will be issued.
Cancellation Policy
We understand the disappointment of cancelling a trek after months of preparation. That's why we have a traveller-friendly cancellation policy.
Pending Payment Policy:
- Complete your pending payment 5 days before departure.
- Failure to pay the second instalment may result in booking cancellation and loss of advance payment.
- Boarding will be denied for non-payment, and the seat will be reassigned.
Cancellation and Refund Policy:
For Backpacking Expeditions and Long Treks (More than 4 nights):
- 30+ days before the trek: Full refund in a Papillon coupon or monetary refund with a 15% cancellation charge.
- 20-30 days before the trek: 80% refund in a Papillon coupon or monetary refund with a 50% cancellation charge.
- Less than 20 days before the trek: No monetary refund; 50% in a Papillon coupon.
- Less than 15 days before departure: No refund.
- If unwell: No refund; find a replacement if needed.
For Sahyadri Treks/Campings and Weekend Backpacking Trips:
- 30+ days before the trek: Full refund in a Papillon coupon or monetary refund with a 15% cancellation charge.
- 20-30 days before the trek: 80% refund in a Papillon coupon or monetary refund with a 50% cancellation charge.
- Less than 20 days before the trek: No monetary refund; 20% in a Papillon coupon if fully paid.
- Ticket transfer: 20% surcharge, subject to organiser's decision.
- No-show or illness: No refund; find a replacement if needed.
- Advance Booking amount: Non-refundable.
Important Note: Trek Insurance, train cancellation, and agent charges are non-refundable if the trek is cancelled within 6 days before departure.
*No refund 15 days before NY and Christmas events.*
If We Cancel a Trek:
- Natural calamities or unrest: No refund if the trip has started.
- Before departure: Full refund except for train and bus cancellations.
- Sahyadri treks: Opt for event shift or full refund if cancelled due to low participation.
- Medical emergencies or COVID: Regular cancellation policy applies.
- Transport issues: Alternate arrangements made; participants bear costs.
Trip Delays and Connecting Transport
Failures:
Papillon will assist with alternate arrangements for delays, but participants bear the costs.

Any extra costs incurred due to extension/change of the itinerary because of natural calamities, train/bus delays or cancellation, road blocks, vehicle breakdown, etc., are factors beyond the control of "Papillon" and its associates.
